Most of the photos were taken from late 2003 onwards with a Sony P8 digital camera, usually at 2.1 megapixels. They were then copied to a computer, trimmed if necessary, and re-sized to fit an Internet browser.

On my return home from my trip to the Mid-North of South Australia in 2004, I discovered a smudge on the lens which added an interesting lighting effect to some photos. Lesson - always inspect the equipment before using it !

A small proportion of the photos were taken as 35mm slides in the early 1980s using a conventional camera. They sat in my cupboard, increasingly unloved, until I purchased a scanner with the capacity to scan 35mm slides.

I'm the first to admit that the website is technically simplistic. This is a function of my own ignorance, cost and time limitations. Eventually I hope it will become more sophisticated.
