Port MacDonnell - South East Region, South Australia.

Your nose may quickly tell you that Port MacDonnell is a fishing town ! Its main product is Southern Rock Lobster and the port is known as The Southern Rock Lobster Capital of Australia. The port is named after Governor MacDonnell and was surveyed in 1860.

After nearby Mount Gambier, there is something refreshingly simple and unadorned about Port MacDonnell. Not to mention quiet and relaxing ! With the exception of the Customs House, the buildings are smaller and simpler, a reflection perhaps of different resources.
