Kangaroo Island Region, South Australia.

Kangaroo Island - known affectionately as KI - was the first area of South Australia settled by Europeans, at the start of the 19th Century. Always home to primary industries, these days it is a popular tourist destination for both Australian and overseas visitors. Although visitors come mainly to admire the natural beauty of the Island and its wildlife as well as to sample its unique produce, they should not neglect the charm of several historic buildings, including South Australia's oldest lighthouse.
