Cleve is located in rolling agricultural country inland from the east coast of Eyre Peninsula.
It is off the tourist track and is very much a working country town with no front at all.
For that reason I found it refreshing after the numerous towns that service tourists and often seem quite similar.
Cleve was laid out in 1879.
