This elegant structure is set in tranquil surroundings near Marananga. There appear to have been several churches on this site, with the current structure dating from 1870, with modifications in 1913. The area was known as Gnadenfrei until 1918 when it was changed to Marananga. I'm glad the church kept its original name - Gnadenfrei is such a lovely chewy word.
